I walk alone down this brick road, to save the apple of my eye
I walk alone through every world, to find where she resides.
I’ll fly with you in my Tanooki suit, and race down spectrums in the sky
Through crescent moons and piano rooms, and watchful giant eyes.
And to my surprise I find myself ingesting fire flowers,
To take on this shelled beast who’s got her locked up in her tower

She’s my platform plumber princess, I’m breaking brick blocks, she makes my heart stop
She’s my damsel in distress, I’ll shimmy down pipes, endanger my life
I will clean up after this mess. With you in my life there’s nothing I can’t handle
So I’ll pop a mushroom, prepare for battle,
But my princess is in another castle/

Through frozen flames and desert plains, I’ll take my chances on any foe
From chomping chains to ghosts that fade, and reappear as I go

And to my surprise I find myself thrown across the galaxy
Collecting stars to bring to life this comet observatory
And save my platform plumber princess
